We were amazed by professionalism and kindness of the staff of National at SAL airport especially Jacqueline! On-spot rental was organized very quick and at a good rate for us, car delivered smoothly and in a perfect condition as also the car seat for a child! Overall exceeded our expectations!
Great service! Friendly staff! The car was in pretty good shape! Their employee Mario Martinez really went above and beyond to help me out!
If you do not speak Spanish fluently and don't want to be a victim of their scam to charge you for pre existing damage to one of their vehicles then I would suggest renting from somewhere else. I had photographic proof of preexisting repair and they still charged me and provided NO estimate, receipt or explanation. They took full advantage of my poor Spanish and the fact that I was in a hurry and had to catch a flight. FYI This office is connected to Alamo so it is the same staff, don't rent from either location!

I paid them $ 1,300 in advance that included small car rental for 2 weeks and insurance. A vehicle hit me and the young man responded with his insurance to repair BOTH cars, but National rent a car charged another $ 2,000 to my credit card (without my authorization). I forgot to tell you that I was not given another car for the week that was missing FOR NOT AUTHORIZING an additional $ 3,000 ....
There I leave them to think very well about doing business with them ...
