Beautiful campus with lots of trees, places to sit and the staff is extremely friendly. Room is basic but clean with Adirondack chairs on the large porch in front of the rooms. The hotel seems very family friendly with a small playground and a pool on site.

I'll list the pros and cons of this hotel. Keep in mind I married and stayed at Hotel Alicante in 2010, so things may have changed (or not). Pros: The place is beautiful. The pool area, gardens and rooms are lovely. The weather was great (and it generally is if you go in the non-rainy season) and the staff was very kind. I particularly liked the larger cottages. They were well equipped and quite comfortable. The staff was very accommodating in setting up the location for the wedding ceremony. They had their gardener remove some plants and ornaments so we could fit all our guests in the garden area, which worked out really well. Cons: The staff is not professionally trained to handle large events. The kitchen had not started to prepare the food by the time guests were sitting at their tables, the sodas were not chilled (one person told me they got water inside a soda bottle), and food ended up under-cooked. Prior to the wedding (150 guests), the food tests were fantastic and had great communication with the manager. Communications after the event, however, were poor and only were limited to giving us the bill. In summary: We really enjoyed our wedding. The location was great and the staff was kind. If I had to do it all again I'd probably do it there, but I'd bring my own caterer and servers.
