Alexis is a superhost! Was very communicative during the reservation process and helpful in answering questions. Rooms are spacious, hot water is amazing. Common area is simple and clean, good breeze. Really good kitchen area

This is an awesome hostel with an even more awesome owner, Alexis! The rooms are extremely clean, there’s a nice toilet, and water is readily available in the hostel. You can even play ping pong/beer pong. It is relatively near the Santa Ana volcano, one of the main attractions in El Salvador that is not to be missed. There are also delicious and cheap eateries around the area - just ask Alexis! The place bustles with activity in the morning, check out the market!

I had an awesome short stay here at Hostal Yuca Mix. The facilities are new and always clean. There's all the amenities a backpacker could want -- a kitchen, filtered drinking water, good WiFi, a clothes line to hang hand-washed clothing and a nice hangout area. Dorm beds cost $8 cash. Alexis, the owner, is such a great guy too. We went out for pupusas and beers in the evening after he got back from his teaching job and had a great conversation about our lives. I strongly recommend anyone that plans on visiting Chalchuapa/Tazumel to at least spend the night here. Chalchuapa is a great little town that's worth exploring and has a nice laid-back vibe compared to Santa Ana.

Hostal Yuca Mix is at a very good and central location. It has many facilities nearby and is at a safe área. The wifi is good and the bed is comfortable, towel is also provided. The owner is very interesting and friendly and is very helpful. There is also a delicious pizza place just a few minutes away. Enjoyed my stay here.
