Hotel Hacienda San Miguel

We love this place! It’s beautiful, quiet and very romantic. The service is great, the staff went out of their way to please us. We definitely recommend it.

A beautiful historic bed and breakfast conveniently located to downtown San Salvador and to the countryside that adds a unique cultural aspect to the El Salvador experience. Visiting El Salvador in July 2018 56 years after being both there, I would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. Cherished memories.

Wonderful place to stay. The rooms are very clean, the staff are warm and caring and the grounds are full of lush plants and trees. Highly recommend.

Hotel Hacienda San Miguel is one of the most comfortable bed & breakfasts I have ever been to in El Salvador. I stayed there from Thursday to Saturday with my dad and we had two private rooms. The location is ideal, as it only took under 45 minutes to get there from the airport, and it is very close to the capital, San Salvador. The hacienda itself made me feel very secure as it is gated and very private. There is plenty of space to park two or three vehicles. Upon entering the hacienda, we were greeted by Gloria, who is the manager of the location. We had help offloading our vehicle and from there on the service was truly thoughtful, considerate and professional. Gloria was very quick to provide us anything we needed (which isn't much as I do not consider myself high maintenance by any means haha). Our main request was coffee, which Gloria prepared without a problem. In the evenings we would relax outside in the patio, drink coffee and listen to music. Each room has an individual shower/bathroom which is WONDERFUL. The bed was comfortable and I also loved how each room has their own AC unit; there was only one night when I felt it was needed though. In regards to breakfast, Gloria would ask me the night before what we wanted to eat. I just requested the typical breakfast, which included fried plantains, refried beans, fruits, and chorizo. Anything is available upon request but after not having visited El Salvador for so long, all I wanted was a simple breakfast. I did not experience lunch as my dad and I left early to take advantage of the day to go sightseeing. Dinners are not provided but there are a few restaurants close by (La Pergula and La Pampa). Also! Wifi was available which was nice to contact family in the US to let them know we arrived safely to our destination. In sum, if you're looking for a comfortable, private setting with one on one service, within close distance to the airport, with trustful staff & good home cooking, please stay here and support this local business. This was my first time but will certainly not be my last. I am forever thankful to have experience this hole in the wall gem.
