Restaurant Le Baron

This restaurant it's included on the hotel "A la carte" restaurants. If you book on reception you can choose the the day and the menu. Diferent menus every days. So if you want can have a meal there. The food its good and the service perfect. Can't give 5☆ rate because there's no food variety. But it's ok if you want to diner on the terrace with fresh air.

Very disappointed after reading good reviews. Staff were very friendly and tried to advise us in which food to choose, gearing us towards the specials of the day. The manager/matrier d was very attentive to the point of annoying, standing over us while we perused the menu, constantly looking for reassurance If the wine was ok, the water was ok, the kids Juice was ok and watching every mouthful of our starters. The salad was warm. I ordered fillet of beef with 3 sauces but it came covered in peppercorn sauce. I had ordered it medium but was still very rare with blood oozing from it. I asked for it to be grilled for a bit longer, which they did with no complaints but was still too rare for me. My husband ordered the stuffed seabass which has a set price on the menu but he came back to say it was so much dinar per 100g and it would be served at 300g. That was fineb. I was almost finished my meal when he returned with a complimentary plate of spaghetti neapolita for my husband as his was not ready yet. He picked at this with a few mouthfuls. After 15minutes of me finishing my meal hos seabass still hadn't arrived, we asked waiter to cancel it and bring the bill. The manager/maitre d hid in the kitchen until he was ready to come out with the fish (a further 7minutes later) he came out expecting a heroes welcome because it was finally ready one hour after ordering! Told him it was too late and insisted my husband was to eat it and give the rest of us free dessert. At this point it was 10.30pm and our daughter was falling asleep so refused. He did graciously apologise and removed it from the bill but so disappointed after looking forward to it so much.

3-2020: Le Baron is an excellent restaurant in Hammamet-Yasmine with a view of the sea. Fresh dishes and the loving arrangement, good selection of Tunisian wines make eating a pleasure !! Very friendly service, who is also happy to fulfill special requests!

Excellent restaurant with a view of the beach. Fresh dishes, lovingly prepared, good selection and Tunisian wine! Very tasty, a pleasure! 12-2019: We are back in Hammamet and eating at Le Baron over Christmas .. a dream! Seafood ... so delicious and perfectly arranged!
