a great place for tasty food
Quiet, relaxed atmosphere overlooking the Mediterranean in the south-east quarter of Monastir. Seating areas inside and outside. Good lighting and clean. The chicken in pepper sauce was very nice and the steak was even better. A taste of Paris in a Tunisian seaside setting. The pricing is comparable or perhaps slightly less than similar high end restaurants in Monastir.
The only minus is the location is a little bit out of the centre of Monastir if you are walking (1.6 km south of Delphin El Habib) and you will pass through a dirty and impoverished area en route to a lovely restaurant. But is only a couple of dinars in a taxi and well worth it.
We were extremely impressed with the quality, presentation and amount of the food and would recommend highly to all.
The owner is French and very friendly. He took time to speak to us on our first visit a few days earlier even though we only stopped for drinks. We were so impressed with him and his establishment that we returned for a meal. It was the highlight of our two week holiday and arguably the best meal we both had during our stay.
Our advice would be to take a taxi to and from the restaurant.
