Sidi Ali Bou Lifa was a holy man and this is his Marabout that was approximately built around 1282. Bou Lifa (or Zaouiyet Bou Lifa) neighborhood in Tozeur was named after him, his tomb is still a religious destination, in addition to the 1000 years old geant Christ's Thorn Jujube tree that’s worth seeing in this cemetery, locals say that this tree is holy itself
