Very good as a place to enjoy
The archaeological site of Tina is located 12 km south of Sfax, on the road to Gabes.
Its construction dates back to the Punic era, to the fall of Carthage, when it became a Roman city from 46 BC. The city knew its greatest prosperity in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. Populated continued until the arrival of Muslims. After the construction of Sfax, it is likely that the remaining residents have moved to the new city.
There are several monuments in it, including: the water store, the Arion baths, the baths of Ascolips, and other baths, two theaters, the temples of Venus and Minarv, houses, tombs ...
The original place of inhabitants of the city of Sfax
We left on the first Sunday of the month to benefit from free admission but we did not find anyone we did our tour alone
