This is the most distinguised higher education institution in Tunisia, comparable to a French grande école. Taught degree programmes include Arabic, English, French, philosophy, and history. Other affiliated programmes in mathematics and computer science are taught in other campuses. Admission is very competitive and success requirements are very high. Eminent Tunisian academics, intellectuals, secondary-school teachers, and politicians are ENS alumni.

The Supreme Teacher's House is a well-established and well-established institution established in 1958 under the reign of the late Habib Bourguiba and is today the best high institute in Tunisia in terms of composition and framing of students in humanities and foreign languages. .

The Ecole Normale Supérieure is the oldest university institution, and the first modern higher education nucleus of independent Tunisia. Indeed, the ENS opened its doors in October 1956. The official text of his creation, dated 13 September 1958, gave him the task of ensuring the training of teachers, executives and high-level researchers whose country so badly needed.
