AMINE TIRE The Tunisian company of tire industries was created on July 21, 1980. The purpose of the company is to manufacture and market tires. The S.T.I.P. is the only tire manufacturer in Tunisia. The company has two production units: a factory in M'saken and a factory in Menzel Bourguiba. The production capacity is approximately 650,000 tires per year or 15,100 tonnes, expandable to 1 million tires per year. Fundamental steps 1980: Start of studies for the creation in Tunisia of a manufacturing unit for tires with a textile radial structure for commercial vehicles and heavy goods vehicles. 1998: STIP is ISO - 9002 certified by the certification body TUV CERT. STIP is ISO - 9002 certified by the certification body TUV CERT. 1983: Start of construction of workshops and buildings housing the Tunisian Company of Tire Industries - S.T.I.P. 2001: STIP signs with PIRELLI the know-how transfer contract for the new All-Steel technology for the manufacture of heavy-duty tires. 1985: Start of production of AMINE tires: Touring 80 series, Light trucks, Light transport and Heavy Duty Radiale Textile with metal belts. 2003: Start-up of the All-Steel unit. 1990 : Start of production of AMINE 70 series touring tires. 2003: Certification of the Integrated Quality / Environmental Management System according to ISO-9001 version 2000 and ISO 14001 version 1996. 1998: STIP is ISO - 9002 certified by the certification body TUV CERT. 2003: Strengthening of the AMINE brand in Morocco by setting up a distribution network made up of 15 points of sale spread throughout Morocco. The AMINE brand passenger, light truck and truck tires are homologated according to European standards E4 and American standards W4. STIP obtained ISO 14001 version 2004 and ISO 9001 version 2008 certification by the German certification body TUV-CERT.
