More than catastrophic! We were in Djerba for 4 days and 3 nights! The first day = disaster: departure on time but arrival and check-in midnight. Our guide was not honest at all, she made up stories for us, along the way, about the 3 star hotel that we were supposed to stay and then about her "immense" efforts to change it to a 4 star one and that we had to pay 3 dinars per night and per adult as hotel tax. Arriving in Djerba on the ferry at 4 p.m. and after crossing the island from east to west and from north to south, change of speech! There is a problem with the 4 star hotel, 83 people refuse to pay the hotel tax so you have to go back to the first hotel. On the bus, nerves are very tense over 10 hours of travel and everyone is exhausted. The 3 stars: NEVER SEEN, absolute disorder, mayhem and desolation. 4 busy buses are waiting for check-in but no rooms and there was overbooking. The agencies, including this one, had known for a week according to the representative of the tourism commissioner. More than 150 people were waiting: Children, old people, newlyweds ... There was fainting, discomfort, lamentable scenes. I had to take my child to the emergency room after a seizure. After 10 p.m., the tour guide calls me. The 4 stars are free !!! I take a taxi to the new destination. Passengers empty their luggage from the bus. I go towards the reception, I find the guide distributing the hotel sheets. I take two, fill them up. I take the key, I check if she opens the room. OUUUUUF, finally we have a room. I take a taxi, I go to look for my family in the emergency room. Midnight my whole family is in the hotel room. Second day, swimming pool swimming pool swimming pool. We let the agency program slip by to recover from day one. Day three, pirate ship, it was passable. Our guide always advised us to stick to the schedule but she was never on time. Fourth day: check-out. I go to the reception for the keys. I inquire about the famous hotel tax from the reception agent. She opened her eyes wide as if I spoke Chinese and told me that she had never heard of it. I told him that you had a problem with a group of 83 people 4 days ago on the same subject. She told me they haven't had a problem for a long time. NO TAX AND NO PROBLEM. The return to tunis, no air conditioning. The driver wanted a tip, he got nothing. There was a shopping plan for houmet souk. Considering the meager harvest he had, everything was canceled. Conclusion: flagrant amateurism of the agency and its guide who really needs a thorough training so that she knows how to communicate with vacationers and manage any unforeseen circumstances.
