Started out good but quickly deteriorated. Ex pats from Canada here living/working in Tunis for the whole year and we started renting from Marsa (Monia) in July. Things were good but renewal time came up Dec 7th 2020 and she asked how long do we need to renew for. I replied until Feb 15th likely due to our pending transfer (normally 3mo at a time). I could have said just 30days to Jan 15th but I figured what's the harm. Turns out our Transfer back to Canada will occur Jan 15th; more than a month from now but they refuse to give back our $ for the period Jan 15 to Feb 15th. For this reason. we are advising all our international staff to spend money elsewhere when renting a car and carefully read the terms.

I am an expat here in Tunisia and Marsa Rent a Car has done right by me. Once a month I go in and speak with Monia to renew my contract and she has my car cleaned. She speaks English very well, she is professional, very nice and very helpful. I am lucky to have found a great rental car agency that has helped me and is affordable. Recommended as #1 choice for car rentals.

We were a little nervous being Americans driving across Tunisia but it was easy and worth the experience. We rented a nice VW Passat from Marsa Rent a Car and drove to Tozeur for a few days. Everything went smooth. Monia is very easy to work with and her English is excellent. I highly recommend this company. Be sure to enquire early to make sure a car is available for you.
