What a wonderful museum but left alone, There is nobody to save the security There.

The museum is housed in the Kasbah of Sousse's Medina, which was founded in the 11th century AD. It was established in 1951. The museum reopened its doors to the public in 2012, after the collections were rearranged and the edifice was renovated. It contains the second largest collection of mosaics in the world after that of the Bardo National Museum in the capital Tunis.

Nice museum. Besides the small but excellent collection of archeological findings, the staff is very friendly and the building itself is a joy to explore. There's also great views over the Medina.

After the Bardo Museum in Tunis, this is the second best collection of artefacts in Tunisia! As you descend down the stairs, your jaw also drops in wonder at the marvellous and detailed mosaics that decorate the walls and floors of the museum. Incredible and true masterpieces that have survived, in some cases, thousands of years
