My wife and I not being people to hang around the hotel pool or lounge on a beach all day, found this station to be the gateway to great adventures and wonderful days out on our own. The trains may be a bit on the old side, but the air-con worked and nobody minded when I went to the back and sat with my legs dangling out over the track with the desert going by, great memory, but it freaked the missus out!

Hyundai Rotem trains run to Madhya and Monastir. Cheap and fine. Mardi knows Lua land seemed faster
Metro du Sahel station or suburban railway (narrow gauge) from Sousse to Mahdia. Tickets at the box office. Cheap. Train every 40-60 '. At peak times, it is very crowded
