The archaeological site "Castilia" located in the region of Degache, under the governorate of Tozeur in southern Tunisia, was ransacked at the temple and other architectural parts of the recently discovered Byzantine church, whose origins go back to the late Roman era between the 5th and 7th centuries according to experts of the National Institute of Heritage.
It is a very small church (3m high from the walls, not counting the possible vaults and the roof).
By the ceramics (some oil lamps) and the coins that archaeologists have found there (excavations are still in progress), this church would date, roughly from the 5th century.
How dare to share photos of excavation when the results have not yet been published? Photos in full construction !!!
