Natural park with nice views, Hammams etc

This national park is a bit difficult to find. There are signs, but you have to look closely for them, and the last turn is down an unmarked dirt road. Just enter "Hammam Sidi Ben Abbes, Tunisia" as your destination in Google Maps, and you should drive right to it.
The welcome area is currently under extended construction (August 2018). It looks like they found some Roman ruins in the hillside when they were doing excavation for a cistern, so that may have slowed the construction process. It's kind of cool to see a Roman mosaic floor as it's being unearthed, so I enjoyed that.
Park at the welcome area and hike up the stairs to the biological museum at the vista point. The museum is not very impressive, but the views are quite nice.
I would recommend going on a cool day so you can hike further along the ridge line. Also, check the migration schedule for the major bird species. We saw very little wildlife during our visit.
Lovely lake-lagoon at the foot of an impressive mountain. Good bird watching in winter. Flamingo, spoonbills, purple gallinule, thousands of ducks and geese
