You must come here. This is on a par with Ancient Rome, Ephesus etc for classical cities. Truly amazing to wander in the monolithic architecture and get a feel for Roman life. It's such a shame that Tunisian tourism hasn't recovered but, when it does, this place will be overrun. Get there first.
It was one of my greatest day visiting that place with my beloved had inhaled a fresh air at that top hill of Dougga Romain ruins site, enjoyed the harmony beauty of the ruins and the green trees of the place.
Easy to walk around the ruins. You can hire a tour guide at the ruins for 40 Dinars.
A wonderful day spent walking among the ruins of Dougga. It’s amazing to be able to walk freely and without the crowds so often accompanying these historical sites
Great museum, a lot of interesting ruins, currently excavations open about a quarter of ancient city.
