Karachay is a neighborhood with Caucasian people. The place that used to be a municipality is now a neighborhood. 1900s. At the beginning of the years, they took refuge in our country from Russian pressure and persecution. Established during the reign of Abdülhamit II, the village was named Başhüyük in the following years. The village was built in a regular way similar to the crescent. The street and avenues are order. Its people speak a very plain and clean Turkish. Turkey is different than Turkish. There are 3 mosques, 1 health center, 1 middle school, 1 grocery store and 2 coffee houses in the village. There are fresh water fountains and pond. The village center is very green and heavy. Caucasian culture still prevails in the village. Toys are worth seeing. It takes place on the way from Sarayönü to Cihanbeyli - Altınekine before reaching the grandfathers. There are flour mills and farms on the way. Abundant corn has been planted in the fields. People take care of each other very much. There are special vessels called çoyun, which are used in cooking and brought from Caucasia. It is one of the most important dishes.
