The construction of 1918 is a beautiful mosque of the old work made of wooden masonry common way

The New Mosque in İnebolu was built with the help of Tevfik Efendi of İnebolu partially provided by the Administrative Council and the people of the district in accordance with the decision of the Board of Directors dated 12,1323 and numbered 17 and this mosque was named Tevfikiye for this reason. In the 1905 Ottoman Yearbooks, no 21: "Mayor of İnebolu Tevfik Efendi members 1-Hacı Carlos Efendi 2-Mehmet Efendi 3-Ahmet Ağa 4-Artin Karon Efendi 5-Kadir efendi 6-İzzet aga." The story of the mosque is as follows: In 1908, non-Muslims in the town dig the foundation to build a church in the market. When it comes to laying the foundations, the Muslim population in Inebolu does not find it appropriate to build a church in the middle of the bazaar. According to the current conditions of the day, in order to discourage non-Muslims from this job, they assign a person we can call a bully, Abraham, of wooden knives from Avara, by giving some money. This person goes to work with the courage he collects after getting drunk. "Heeyt ulan get out of here." Non-Muslims who gave up building a church here later build a church near the seaside of İnebolu, where the Şerife Bacı Monument is located. When it is bombarded, they put the gasoline barrels behind this church, as they knew that the church would not be fired. My opinion is that this church is destroyed by the men when Topal Osman comes to Inebolu. The foundation of the New Mosque is laid and the mosque is completed until 1915, but we see in the picture taken in 1915 that the minaret of the mosque is not complete yet. The minaret of the mosque was built by D. Yaşar's father, Ruşen Efendi, by giving 500 gold. The minaret is completely made of cut stone. Its architecture is also similar to the Arabic style. The top is not a conical sharp, but a round circle. The horizontal fountain in front of the mosque for ablution is understood from the inscription on the west side that it was built by people from the family tree of Emiroğulları. The mosque water is mentioned as "delicious" in the title deed records and is seen as "Ahmet, son of Mehmed from Emiroğulları". In the inscription, “Sahibül hayrat vel hasenat. Hacı Bektaşzade Hacı Hüseyin bin Hacı Mustafa (1929). ”In my research, he is one of the two sons of Hacı Hüseyin Mehmed. Ahmet is the owner of the water and the son of his other brother Hüseyin, Mustafa, is the one who donates the water to the fountain he has built. The mosque water is called “mosque water”. 40 tables of which belong to the mosque, the other one table table (2500 kuruş) was sold to 41 people for 5 gold liras. (Masara: 3 mm thick for 24 hours. the amount of water flowing through the hole.) Again, in the inscription on the east side of the fountain: Harbi built a fountain during the general period, (It was built during the World War.)
