History Of Our District Print Yapraklı District is an ancient settlement which has been cradle to various civilizations since the previous dates. According to historical and archaeological research; Leaf Etiler period findings of 2000s were found. Following the disappearance of Etiler and other civilizations established in Anatolia, the Roman Empire reigned in the region. After the Seljuk, Candaroğulları and Ottoman Empire, our district became the important settlement and trade center of the period. In the Ottoman records, the district is called as N Tuht Sub-District Osmanlı. It is known that the Seyit families are placed in the sub-district and there are madrasas and additions established on behalf of them. These works have been added to the cultural treasure to be transferred to future generations thanks to the recent restoration works. The leafy fair, which is on the historical Silk Road and which is widely known during the Ottoman period, has brought richness and diversity to the region socially and culturally. The Christians and Greeks living with the Turkish population were separated from the sub-district after the exchange foreseen by the Lausanne Treaty. In 1955, the municipality was Yapraklı; In 1958, it became a district with the Law No. 7033.
