The imaret, which was built by Murat I in the name of his mother Nilüfer Hatun in 1388 and accepted as one of the most beautiful examples of 14th century architecture, was restored in 1960 and turned into a museum. Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Ottoman works are exhibited in the garden. In addition to the archaeological remains obtained from the excavations carried out in and around Iznik, the artifacts obtained from the excavations in Ilıpınar, Roman Theater and İznik tile furnaces are exhibited.
