It is the first mosque built after the conquest in Amasya. It was converted from an old Byzantine church into a mosque. It is believed that the church was built in the 7th century by Helena, the daughter of the Byzantine Emperor Phocas. It was converted into a mosque during the Danishmend Period.

Once upon a time, during its restoration, I saw that the building was built of brick material, just like Halifet Gazi Madrasa. It is noticed that the building, which has been converted from a church to a mosque, does not resemble normal mosque plans.

The name of this mosque is Kuba Mosque. You can watch the view from the backyard. There is also a small waterfall view.

It was converted from an old Byzantine church into a mosque. It is believed that the church was built in the 7th century by Helena, the daughter of the Byzantine Emperor Phocas. Fetih Gazi, who was the governor of Amasya during the Danishmend period, converted this great church into a mosque and named it Fethiye Mosque. This mosque has been severely damaged over time. The mosque, which was repaired in 1956 and opened to worship again, was finally restored in 2006 by the General Directorate of Foundations. In 1883, a minaret was added by İncezade Hacı Mehmet to the mosque, which did not have a minaret in its original state. It was not possible to detect the original wall remains of the mosque, whose walls were plastered completely and painted white. The mosque is built in the apse of the church. For this reason, the eastern facade of the mosque is angular to form a half hexagon. The western facade of the mosque, which is entered through a small entrance on the north wall, was later closed in the form of a wide arched niche, and lower and upper windows were opened in this section.
