St. Peter's and St. Paulus Church is in the northeast of Ellisekiz Square. The building was built in 1861 on the ruins of a church from the 6th century. Church, Hz. Since it was built in memory of the two apostles of Jesus, it bears their name. The building was actively used until 1924, when the Syriacs from Urfa migrated to Aleppo (Syria). The Church of St. Petrus and St. Paulus was first used as a tobacco factory and then as a grape storage by the Tekel administration in 1924. The church was named "Reji Church" by the people because of the French equivalent of the word Tekel, Regie (Reji). Written gravestones from the church were sent to the Urfa Museum. The church was restored by the Governorship of Şanlıurfa in 1998 and was put into service on May 24, 2002 as the "Governor Kemalettin Gazezoğlu Cultural Center". It is still used today for various social events.

An important place for the history of Christianity in Sanliurf. Church on the site of a 6th century Christian temple. All Christian symbols removed. It was only the third time that I managed to get in here. Before it was closed despite working hours. Currently a cultural center. They don't charge entrance fees.

The old church is now a cultural center. It is done in a very nice events. Free music courses, theater, concerts, events, meetings, etc., but perhaps not aware of it made even sitting back street. Renovated according to the original. Inside there's a mystical aura. Sanliurfa tourism can provide more floors. I would recommend you go and see if you ever go.
