The church, which was built by Christians who lived in Urfa in the past, is in a very good condition and currently serves as the Selahattin Eyyubi mosque.

Selahaddin Eyyubi Mosque (Saint Johannes Prodromos Addai Church) - Şanlıurfa The building is located on Vali Fuat Bey Street (Büyükyol). It is estimated that it was built in the early 19th century on the Church of John the Baptist, built by Bishop Nona in 457. It is also called a cathedral because of its period and being the largest church in the region. The building was in ruins for many years and was used as an intermediate power station. It was repaired on May 28, 1993 and opened as a mosque. The entrance of the mosque is in the west direction and the last congregation place was made by using the narthex (entrance section) of the previous church. The place of worship is illuminated by large windows. On the edges of the windows on the building, there are half columns remaining from the church and dragon reliefs entangled with each other. Since the first church was used as a mosque by Selahaddin Eyyubi for a period, the building was called with the same name when it was converted into a mosque. The mosque was repaired by the General Directorate of Foundations in 2010-2011.
