The architect of the mosque was Hacı İvaz Pasha. In the structure, some Byzantine building material was used. The crown door at the entrance of the Green Mosque is a beautiful product of Turkish stone carving. Mukarnassian age is extraordinary. Green stone and marble were used in the door arch. There are two windows on the right and left sides of the stone door and one outside altar. They also have very fine stonework. All decorations of the mosque were built by Nakkaş Ali, the father of the famous poet Lamii Çelebi. Most of the mosque is covered with tile. The interior walls, ceilings, decks, and passage passages are all covered with china. The tiles of the mosque were handled by a master named Mecnun Mehmet. One of the most perfect examples of tile work in the mosque is its niche, which is more than ten meters high. The mihrab with various geometric motifs and flowers is one of the most beautiful places in the mosque. According to some writers, this mihrab is nearly a tile paradise. On the right side of the mihrab, there is a minbar which is covered with a hexagonal cone and covered with a careful wooden workmanship. It is possible to see the finest examples of wooden work in Bursa. Window covers are a good example of the timber workmanship of the period. There are very thin ornaments in the sliced domes which are not found in other mosques. There is a beautiful fountain in the mosque. The fountain of the fountain made of one piece is unique. Researcher Charles Texier argues that this structure is the most perfect work of the Ottoman sultanate in Bursa.
