If you are in Turkey, you must take the time to see the ruins of Pergamon. Phenomenal views and impressive restoration make this a quality stop when you are in the Ephesus-Smyrna-Pergamon region of Izmir. The signage around the site gives a perfect idea of the late Hellenic and early Roman Empire period's splendours. You need to the cable car to the top to which you have an amazing view. Worth the drive and not too far out of the way from Izmir. I really liked. 1- Accessing the main site can be challenging for those with walking or physical difficulties as there are many uneven steps and steep inclines to navigate once you arrive. 2- Have plenty of water on hand and use sun protection as there is very little shade on hot and sunny days. 3- Wear appropriate footwear with good traction.

It's an outdoor sightseeing of this ancient city. You go on the sky lift first, then you start your climb to see all the areas of the city. It was an amazing experience!
