Picnic pleasure in a peaceful and poetic environment Metin Demirtaş, the poet who knew the Elmalı Plain best and was born in Akçay Town of the district, described the region in his poem "Akçaylı Elmacıların Türküsü" in his poetry book named "Hançer and Lirik" (Onur Publications 1st Edition 1984): The first times fall The quilt of the mountains shrinks The trees wake up from their sleep Scented chaste in the streams Fresh snow waters Shy girls with their breasts First eyes puff out Turns the star at the ends of the branch First flowers Bismillah The fearful days of the elders begin The air is sniffed, the frosty is watched Karacaoğlan falls on the tongues "Bees have also become unproductive." And to apple blossoms "Should we praise?" “Do we swear? To those who invented these drugs " March nine is passed Five, six and seven of marbling Darken their hearts A set wind blowing from Thesis My father always used to call the poor "It either tends or freezes, this is the privilege of Thesis" A cloud is over Agar Akdağ A storm that breaks down I got burned, God! Is it rain or hail? Don't be gentle, say god If full Heder has been labor Weddings remain in another harvest Dowry in solar chests Girls tie another knot Smelling basil Naphthalene bundles Crickets don't come, the water doesn't fly It spreads but does not taste The wind blowing from Alakepeli Drummer reluctantly beat the drum Zurna says zırt, in the most pleasant place of the weather Don't write, Zeybeği won't kneel. His poem "Akçaylı Elmacıların Türküsü": Metin Demirtaş
