Rido Camping

Management can be friendlier, and it is a minus that they scold the volunteers for their shortcomings. When it's crowded kitchen+common area tends to get overlooked. I hear it is new management so I hope they improve in time.

Terrible service for overpriced bungalow - the location for Rido camping on Google maps needs to be updated. The owner should know since so many people wound up driving/cabbing to the wrong road. Wifi is only good near the reception cabin - really weak in the rest of the campgrounds. The receptionist should have not promised us a ride to the main road on the next day if he could not, claiming that the car broke down just as we met him at the promised time was irresponsible of him. He also gave us the wrong timing for the afternoon bus and quoted us the wrong and higher price for our stay. I had to show him the website and the quoted prices to correct him.

Beautiful camping ground. Very clean tree houses with front porches and great views of the mountains. Toilets and showers are very clean and new. 2 mins. from the river where there is a mini pool to dip in. Communal kitchen was also spatious and comfortable.

Best spot in Geyikbayiri for climbers / slackliners / yogis. I stayed at Rido for 2 months and met lots of international and local climbers. Rido is a perfect spot for people who want to climb/chill with and support LOCAL people. The food is authentic Turkish cuisine and the best in the area — I ate at other famous camps so can say this with confidence. Really nice to have a big yoga portch here and slack lines up too for rest days. Come for dinner and stick around for the bonfire... always a good time drinking beers and hot tea when the impromptu wood chopping shenanigans break loose!
