I advise you against coming to Erasmus here. This is a tragedy. Bureaucracy and unfair treatment is a norm here. If you think that your Erasmus will be pleasant and cool - unfortunately not in this place. Education level is mostly a low standard, it is like: learn unnecessary things, pass the exam, and forget. I am so disappointed.

The project of establishing a faculty that aims to enable research in political science, public administration and related fields and to train experts in these fields within Istanbul University was developed by Tarık Zafer Tunaya, Professor of Law, since 1962. With the decision of the University Senate dated October 13, 1977, it was decided that Faculty of Law lecturers establish a Faculty of Political Sciences. Seven faculty members who left the Faculty of Law (Prof. Dr. Tarık Zafer Tunaya, Prof. Dr. Ümit Doğanay, Prof. Dr. Aydın Aybay, Assoc. Dr. Murat Sarıca, Assoc. Dr. A. Ülkü Azrak, Assoc. İzzettin Doğan and Associate Professor Ersan İlal) became the founding faculty members of the Faculty of Political Sciences.

Student affairs are a nuisance, never a solution to problems, they are cut and thrown. Nobody knows the regulation, does not read. its training and functioning is not controlled enough, it happens that some teachers do not attend classes for weeks, but it may ask as if they did all the courses in the exam. The system is pure memorization; analysis, comment or something. All of the instructors say the same thing, they warm and warm the subjects for 4 years and put them in front of you, and they compete with each other in terms of which of us is more difficult. It has 4 departments, 2 of them are international relations, but foreign language education is never given. The student who wants to participate in the exchange program is not paved, on the contrary, a stone is put. Friends who are thinking of making a choice should not be fooled by the appearance of the building. There are also a few exceptions for teachers, but in general it is empty.
