Wonderful
Little village Helfity about 80 kilometers from Gaziantep. Was drowned by the building of a dam over the river Euphrates. It can be visited by boat. Beautiful trip.
Atmospheric flooded village. Visit by boat from Halfreti and look at the minaret popping out of the water as well as the ruins just visible beneath the River Euphrates. There are cafe's set up along the river bank, run mainly by the old inhabitants, who serve up cheap and tasty kebabs or cold drinks. Perfect for relaxing and admiring the view.
I liked this trip and enjoyed this place. Besides, tge weather was so hot (like almost everywhere in Turkey ), the nature there deserves it . You will definitely enjoy a boat trip also
A very nice place, nice air, you can eat in the middle of the river, or take a little boat and visit the Romans castle.
