Helil Kilisesi

Helil Church, which is thought to belong to Nasturians with a thousand years of history, is located in the Helel area of ​​Zap Valley, which is 10 kilometers away from the city. It is a rectangular church measuring 6.85x10.00 meters. The east is covered with a barrel vault in the west direction and the interior is illuminated with grating windows in the west direction. Two iron gates with pointed arches pass through the entrance of the church. Like other churches in the region, which has survived to the present day despite the harsh weather conditions, it needs repair and maintenance. We cannot claim any cultural heritage in our region, our madrasas, mosques are ruined, our churches are also hurting our people more. Both our people and the relevant public institutions in Hakkari must protect and protect these historical monuments.
