In addition to being a historical mosque, it is a very beautiful place with coolness like natural air conditioning. You can even go to cool off in the heat of summer
I went on 9.10.2020 and it was closed for renovation.
There is ski Ahlat castle. According to the inscription, it was built by İskender Pasha on H.992 (M.1584), possibly to Mimar Sinan. Built during the reign of Yavuz Sultan Selim, the mosque was expanded during the reign of Suleiman the Magnificent. The mosque is a typical example of Ottoman Architecture due to its interior and exterior construction.
A beautiful mosque that you can see while walking inside the castle. According to its inscription, it was built by Iskender Pasha, probably by Mimar Sinan, on the date of 992 (AD.1584). Very beautiful history and a mosque among the greenery. But it's wrong to have the door closed. We couldn't see inside. Just before reaching this mosque, there is a Kadı Mahmut mosque, which is entered through a gate. His door was closed. That mosque looked more beautiful than this mosque. It seems a bit stuck between sapa and private buildings but I think the location is very nice. Just as everywhere else, it smells a little trash around. More attention needs to be paid.
