After looking at the reviews we were sceptical, and especially as we were originally booked at side crown Serenity but were moved due to the pandemic. However, this hotel is absolutely brilliant and we prefer it to how we imagined serenity! The staff are lovely, very friendly people. The waiter named Oktay is very attentive and helpful, great at keeping conversation and speaks very good English. Although it is a hotel with mainly German and Russian tourists, everyone is friendly and it’s an all round good atmosphere. The water slides are active for 4 hours a day, and are great fun and stable. Like any other hotel, we got up early to reserve sun beds, but even if you don’t you are still likely to find a few as there are 3 pools! With the pandemic, we were worried about the cleanliness before arriving, but the whole hotel is very well looked after and is cleaned regularly and room cleaning every morning. Lovely hotel, can completely see why it’s 5 star, would definitely return again !! :)
I have been to this hotel for 7 nights. It was a horrible experience. We were woken up for 4 nights because of extremely high noise around the pool and terrace after midnight. They let people do party as much as they can because they sell alcohol for a high price after midnight.
In the last day of my holiday, 10-15 people were gathering for partying with their speaker around 01.00 am and hotel management did not do anything although I talked 3-4 times until 3.30 am. Finally, I called the local police to ask for help. They came to the hotel at 3.30 am to finish partying and fining the hotel. I was lucky because I speak Turkish and were able to communicate police to ask for help . If you are a foreign person, you would get a bigger problem.
To sum up: Stay away from this hotel!
This was our first experience In Turkey and after reading reviews thought we would give it a try at Crown sunshine... we spent 2 weeks here and for the most part we're very happy with what was on offer . We arrived late evening and received a warm welcome and offer to upgrade our room to a pool view which didn't disappoint, we did look at the original room before making decision to change and only difference was the view so don't be put off if you cant afford to upgrade. Room was spacious and clean and was cleaned everyday the cleaner very friendly saying hello everyday even letting us in when our key didn't work. I do agree with some of the other reviews there are mostly Russian, German and Polish at the hotel but don't necessarily feel this makes too much difference to the experience of the holiday apart from the fact they are very rude and dont know how to que ! . There was entertainment every evening bingo (we were lucky enough to win ) one eve and prizes very generous , turkish night and karaoke to name a few. The pool area was fantastic biggest pool i have seen at a hotel and separate pool with slides for the kids , never had Problem getting a sunbed but I suspect this could due to covid 19 and hotel only being allowed to book 60% capacity i should imagine in normal circumstances things would be alot busier. The hotel itself is a little far from side but there are some shops within walking distance . you can catch a bus or taxi to explore further going to old town which we were told was nice although we didn't actually go. There is a bus that goes to the beach every 20 mins with a bar and snacks for lunch so you don't miss out (another first for us having AI on the beach) the staff at hotel all very friendly and do best to help with any quires you have sometimes language barrier a bit problematic . I only really have 2 complaints about our time the first was the FOOD now i will admitt i am a fussy eater but usually manage to find something I can eat whilst away ,the quality and assortment of what was offered i cant complain about with the exception of fish night ( when everything was fish based ) fish soup fish on the pizza etc so we ate out those days. It was the fact it like warm at best even if you arrived at beginning of service the stuff was alredy cooked and placed in a warming oven ( obviously didn't work that well ) breakfast hot stuff was always eggs either boiled , fried or omelette all cold or warm at best my personal opinion to remedy this would be to put a few microwaves in the dinning area allowing guests to heat it up should they wish. My 2nd complaint was the holiday rep who told us not to booktrips outside the hotel ( unbeknown to her we already had booked 2 before we even saw her) both apart from them arriving late to collect us were great and reasonably priced . We did rafting and buggy personally wouldn't do the buggy again just slow drive all in a line with a face full of dirt the whole way , rafting however definitely recommended brilliant time. We approached the rep asking for help with our flight and got talking and decided to book to do dolphin Island outside the hotel this was priced at €20 each lunch included, she charged us €40 each explaining that our price was AI only extra was beer at €1, we got chatting to a other couple who told us they paid €30 each and were promised the same us so I wasn't best pleased. We only took €20 extra after checking there was nothing else except photos to pay for . At the end we were asked to pay for icecreams and were also charged €3 per beer not €1 as promised ! My partner explained what we were told by the rep and the fact we only had €7 left after paying for photos after a angry call to the hotel by the boat owners we were let off. When I complained to the rep she basically said other Couple were lying ! My advice shop around before booking trips. We would definitely comeback again provided the food issue was sorted everything else was spot on
We were looking for a hotel that is with Europeans and with less Russian. And its good that this was a few couples from Russia. Cuz when we travel, We dont wanna feel like we dont cross the border at all. So here everything is on English and German
Animation is okay, everything was on Turkish and German. Thank you very much for karaoke night on Friday!
The everyday cleaning in room is okay, but not enough. Could be better, for example, cleaning floor and wiping dust on the table. covers were changed everyday.
We asked for a room that would not be with view on mosque in tour agency and then on reception before check in. And we were given room that just right with the view! 5:45 song for 15 minutes
The hotel area is nice, fashionable and clean
Pool is 140 sm . Hotel have mini aqua park. Burgers with fries and pizza are served near pool. Also delicious ice cream from 3-5 pm. Bus goes to the beach each 15 min from hotel . Once we tried to go back on feet its around 12 min . Bar and food are served on beach that was convenient. Beach is sandy.
Many many thanks for staff excellent service (waiters Ahmed, Mustafa) and Chef Mustafa! Waiters gave us drinks even before we announce what we want. Food in the restaurant is very fresh and delicious. There was the fish day (better come on time - 6:30 cuz the queue is big for it). Chef served mussels, rolls with salmon, octopus, shrimps, crabs! We said lots of compliments for Chef and on our last evening he prepared specially for us shrimps!!! OMG this was really good! We enjoyed every piece. Thank you for this high service during the whole week.
Would never go back to side it's full of germans
