The Church of St. George is used by Georgian Community of Constantinople, and there are regular Divine Services in every Sunday and feast days.

The caretaker at this church was a fantastic, energetic, warm and helpful woman. She showed us around very enthusiastically and told us the story of a few of the icons inside the church. The entire neighbourhood has been cleaned up recently in an attempt by the municipality to attract more tourists. This church was also recently restored. Great place to visit!

Beautifully restored and recently opened, allegedly, but how can one visit??? We went today(Sunday around 1pm) and all gates were locked and there was no sign of anybody. This is not the first church in Istanbul that we have found access a problem either. Go figure. Nice view from above on the old Theodosian Wall, so that is worth the visit.
