The St. Paraskevi Orthodox Church was rebuilt from the ground up in 1692 with a donation made by St. Constantine Brancoveanu, the ruler of Wallachia, on the site of the old Byzantine church in the Prikidion district. In 2004, the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople gave this church to be used by the Romanian Patriarchate. It is now the only church in Istanbul where it is served in Romanian.

Ayia Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Church; It was built in 1692 on the Rumeli side of the Bosphorus between Hasköy Baçtar Street and Çançan Street. The church, dedicated to Saint Paraskevi, is also important in terms of icons of early periods, except that it was once the place where the most prominent figures of the congregation were buried.

It is the only active Romanian Orthodox Christian church in Istanbul, the only place where Orthodox Romanians can enjoy the holy services. Here you can find a Christian priest at any time willing to give advice and greet the groups of Romanian pilgrims visiting the city of Istanbul. We thank the father for the Holy Mass in Romanian and the beautiful presentation of the history of this Romanian church.
