It is a Greek church that was handed over to the Armenians in one of the dates 1628, 1631 or 1636 after the conquest of Istanbul. The church, which was burned in 1692, was rebuilt with an edict, and it was destroyed in a fire in Balat in 1729. The church, which was rebuilt later, was opened to worship in 1730, but it was destroyed repeatedly due to fires and was rebuilt in wood. The church building, which was re-burned in 1827, II. It was built as a masonry by the decree of Mahmut and opened for worship in 1835. The church, which was renovated in 2005, was restored in 2012.

It is a very old church, very interesting and even a bit scary, there is a spring water in the lower floor, the holy water, I recommend you to go down there.
