No longer the Armenian Church

The Surp Kevork Armenian Church was built in its present form in the 19th century. The congregation in Çanakkale, which was very common in the 17th century, became idle over time. This beautiful church, which was used as a museum, etc. over time, is not considered to be used much today. It has a very valuable architectural facade. It's a historical trust, let's claim it.

The church, which was demolished in 1691, was rebuilt in 1873 by the order of Sultan Abdulaziz.nnThe structure, which was idle due to the immigration of the Armenian population in Çanakkale, was opened in 1934 as the Çanakkale Archaeological Museum and served as a museum until 1984. It was restored by the Ministry of Culture in 1984 and opened as Namık Kemal Theater Hall.
