Sleeping in a cave is very interesting, but the novelty wears out quick. Our room was poorly ventilated, and the cave sheds a surprising amount of rubble on the bed, furniture and floor. I guess that's why the room is so dark - so you wouldn't be able to see all of it. We even resorted to breaking of the bigger pieces of rubble before sleeping, so they wouldn't fall on us. I understand that's what you get when you're sleeping in a cave, but it's still annoying.nnThe shower was incredibly loud at highest flow setting.nnThe jacuzzi was awesome.nnBreakfast was disappointing.

Dere Suites is perhaps the most welcoming and mezmerising place that I have ever had a chance to visit. The rustic cave suites are wonderful with a perfect indoor climate that emanates peace and relaxation; the perfect spot to unwind. The honeymoon suite is luxurious with a private balcony that gives a perfect view over the rugged hillside and I can honestly not imagine a better place to let the stress and tension of life behind. This was my first, but doubtfully my last stay and I can only recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Cappadocia!

Beautiful cozy rooms and great views/location. The value is wonderful.

I would give 3 stars because if you are staying more than 2 nights , u gonna be sick of their poor options breakfast. ( no options for vegetarians/vegans too). Cave room is an interesting experience but be ready that all of your cloth and bags covered in crushed stone and dust. And also a little stone felt in my eye from the ceiling.

Dere Suites was wonderful. It was recommended by someone for us to stay. It is in Ürgüp and not in Göreme, however it is by far a great place to stay. The customer service is top-notch as within hours of booking, I received a call from the hotel to confirm our stay including our airport transfer.nnArrival, check-in and service throughout the entire stay was absolutely great.nnThe location allows you to walk into town and enjoy some coffee, shops and local markets. There is a winery/wine house (Tursan) about 5 - 7 minutes walk up the street and has great wine but the customer service can be hit or miss.nnTaxis to Göreme is about 50 to 60TL one-way from Dere.nnThe Turkish breakfast is great and will hold you through the entire day.nnThe only two downside were:n- In our particular room the entrance/sitting area had a moldy/humid smell even with the top window open. To combat this, we just closed all the other doors and left the windows open.n- The walls in our stone room were not finished as in other stone rooms we had stayed in and if you would lean on the wall or have anything on it, everything would be covered in dust. Careful look at parts of the bathroom and other areas you can tell it is constantly falling onto the furniture.
