Bekir Goreme Taxi

We didn't want to do an official red tour or green tour as I was pregnant and couldn't go to the underground city plus the tours wete costing an arm and a leg. I found this guy through google and he was a Godsend. Very professional, knowledgeable, knew his way around and was fluent in 4 languages; Japanese, English, Kurdish and Turkish. Highly recommended

What a great person. I think one of the most memorable people we met on our trip to this beautiful city. Bekir speaks English and Japanese so well. He speaks English better than many individuals do in the USA. He had offered such great conversation and perspectives in life. It was just so pleasant speaking to him as he is well spoken, well travel and an EXTREMELY intelligent person. He was so hospitable. During one of our drives, I wanted to travel to another city to buy a ney (flute). I couldn't communicate at all with the elderly shop owners. Bekir offered to help before we got out of the car but I thought I could handle it. So I couldn't communicate and proceed to call Bekir for help. Before the call could be completed, Bekir came up the stairs into the music shop and was checking to see if everything was ok. I told him about our situation. He spoke with the shop owners and negotiated down the price of the ney to a fair price for both of us. You cannot find this sort of kindness and hospitality anywhere in the USA. He is so kind and helpful. He is so honest as well which is something I respect so much.nnHe has left us with great memories, and I look forward to the day we can hopefully meet again!

Bekir is a really professional and very friendly person. We communicated our plans to Bekir beforehand and he reserved a day for us. The trip was completely customizable. He ran the taxi on meter and also gave us a good deal on the trip. Bekir was very informative and gave us a lot of relevant information about the places. He suggested very good tips and made our trip awesome. I am sad we did not get a picture with him (Not sure how it didn't cross my mind). I would definitely recommend him without a second thought.

Bekir is a true local, he has great local knowledge, speaks superb English and is very easily contactable via WhatsApp. He is very responsive and can help you develop an nice itinerary at a short notice. He is also honest, always uses a meter and doesn't look to maximise his earnings at your expense. We have had brilliant time and it was with great help from Bekir.
