It was early June, and a pitch-black kitten was brought to our office. Blind in one eye and having trouble breathing, the ones who brought this puppy were our neighbors, Kezban and Kenan, who looked at the cats of our street on the terrace of their detached house. This kitten, estimated to be three or four months old, was kicked in the street by a human draft and the diaphragm was torn as a result of this kick. We took the baby to our veterinarian, Murat Ilgun, apparently kicked out of hatred of black cats and the disabled. Murat Bey and his team delivered the baby to us after a successful diaphragm surgery. A couple of weeks ago, in the US, Georg Floyd was breathlessly killed by racist white cops. We named it FLOYD, in the hope of changing the destiny of our guest, who we cannot leave to the street with surgery. Floyd has improved over time, he started to give joy to our office with his games, to collect balls while we played table tennis. But his friends on the street were calling him. Meanwhile, the surgical sutures were closed. When we realized that he could not withstand the calls of friends' whistles, we started to let him out in a controlled manner, sometimes on a leash, sometimes on a remote chase. So Floyd began to walk around with his friends during the day and return to our office in the evening. We were happy that we managed to bring him back to life. But like any teenager, he began to act rebelliously and soon chase after girls. Of course, the big brothers of the neighborhood would not leave the square to him, and one evening we found Floyd, who did not return to his home, waiting for us at our door in the morning after a heavy beating. He had been bitten and nailed on many parts of his body. We took it again in Pethome. Murat Bey made the necessary treatment against the infection. But despite being beaten almost to death, Floyd was pushing the doors to get back into the street under the influence of the rising testosterone hormone. We found the cure to sterilize him. Floyd thus ceased to be a potential rival to the neighborhood bullies, calmed down and returned to our office after a short stroll on the street. During this period, Kezban's mother and Kenan father visited Floyd and supported us, not depriving him of their love. Meanwhile, when our rent was raised despite the pandemic, we decided to liquidate the office. It was not easy for us to make this decision. Our office had been Floyd's home for seven months, with one eye, and after severe surgery he was more suspicious than any other cat he could live on the street constantly. But Kezban took her mother Floyd to the terrace of his house, and Floyd returned to the house where he was born, among his fellows, whose numbers varied between 10 and 15. While Floyd's story seemed to end with a happy ending at this point, unfortunately Kezban began to be pushed by his fellows who did not want to share their mother's love and living spaces. Floyd came out of the cardboard box he had sheltered in, quickly but nervously, eating food and immediately returning to the box. Eventually, Floyd's movements slowed down, he couldn't eat anything, and eventually his head dropped. At Pethome, where we were raising at midnight, Özkan Bey, on duty physician, diagnosed the situation with anemia as a result of his tests and stated that Floyd's condition was not very good. The next day, Murat Bey confirmed the diagnosis and initiated medication. He also found that Floyd had parasites in his blood and gave additional medications. As soon as Floyd started using the medicines, he came to life as if by a magical hand, and at the end of a month he became a blooded, insatiable fatish. During this last period, we did everything we could to live with our ten-year-old cat, Şeker, but we realized that it is not possible for Şeker to accept this. We are looking for a home for Floyd, provided that we follow it, albeit very sadly. We will be delighted if Floyd, who has been our guest for about a year, wants to take over the watch from us at this period of his destiny that we are trying to change. This is the only place I haven't had any bad experiences so far. One place to diagnose. Probably, they bring the patients for whom the veterinary diagnosis could not be made to Murat Ilgün. We thought we saved it, but those 15 days caused the child to go inside. Because of our own ignorance, my laziness, we lost the baby. My wife still remembers crying. I go there without looking into the distance, in order not to experience such a conscience again. At least I can make sure that everything that can be done is done. The place is fully-fledged. Ultrasound, x-ray icu (intensive care unit) laboratory and operating room. Even though I have never used it, there are also hairdresser and boarding services. You go to me and pray to Professor Murat.
