The madrasa, which is one of the most important building blocks of Çankırı history, was built in 1386 by Kıvameddin Kasım Bey of Candaroğulları Principality Sancak Bey. The imaret where there is a mosque and a two-storey building in the courtyard; The soup kitchen was dedicated to be used in education and charity. In the graveyard of the mosque, Kasım Bey and his wife, the aunt of Fatih Sultan Mehmed Han lie. In order to meet the needs of the foundation, fields and shops were donated. Although it is a private foundation ownership, the restoration, which was built by the Regional Directorate of Foundations in 2013, was allocated to Çankırı Karatekin University to be used in educational activities after its completion in 2017.

It has been an important center that has built the city and the people since the era of the principalities ... It has always been an inheritance place for believers. From time to time, inspiration was scattered from Mevlana's mesnevi, and at some times he dived into a sea of hadiths. Many preachers gave very fruitful sermons and many professors lectured here. Enthusiastic rings of dhikr that those who do not taste will never know were established A lot of important decisions and nice movements sprouted here. It was not only namazgah, but also gathered people and raised the quality of social life with its mosque (collector) feature.nnAfter the restoration completed in 2018, it has become physically beautiful and I hope it will be revived in terms of content.

It is a beautiful place of worship with a unique architecture which has a very high historical property. All parts of the mosque and imaret have been restored. The mosque and Imaret have an architectural feature that complements each other here. There is also a cemetery in the garden next to the mosque.
