Mehmet sait KARAKOLLUKÇU (08/12/2020)
This mosque is old in Ulu Mosque, which started in 1389 and ended in 1390. Demirtaş Mosque, which is a group of winged or (Inverted T) planned mosques starting with Orhan Mosque in Bursa and transformed in Hüdavendigar Mosque, has been expanded with a central dome in the middle, vaulted, east-west iwans on the sides, and a vaulted partition in the south. The narthex in the north direction is in five sections made of cut stone, formed by pointed arches connecting four stacked pillars. The middle section is wider and higher than the others. The middle partition is covered by a large dome whose passage is provided by triangles. The two divisions on the right and left are covered with small domes, and the divisions in the east and west directions are covered with cross vaults. Brick-knitted pitchfork and bird beak motifs are embroidered on the front face of the narthex with closed sides, three rows of hedgehog fringes. As in the Orhan Mosque, there are circular courses on both sides. Its minaret is located above the fountain and it is one of the rare mosques that are ordinary among the neighborhood, it is not very popular in bursa trips, I recommend you to add this mosque with a scent of history to your trip list.

Its minaret is one of the rare Ottoman mosques that are separate from the mosque.

It is a historical monument built in 1390. It is not a very large mosque, but it is important.

Bursa is a historical mosque in Osmangazi. The feature of this mosque is that the minaret is separate from the mosque. There is a fountain under the minaret.

In some sources, it was written that the mosque was built by Tim Beytaş Pasha's son Ali Bey in 792 H. (1389-1390), and in others it was built by Kara Timurtas Pasha, the Emir of Yildirim Bayezid. Demirtaş Mosque, which is a group of winged or (Reverse T) planned mosques which started with Orhan Mosque in Bursa and changed in Hüdavendigar Mosque, has been expanded with a central dome, vault covered in the middle and vaults covered in east-west, again in the south. The last congregation location in the north direction is made up of five sections made of cut stone braided, pointed arches that connect four piled legs. The middle compartment is wider and higher than the others. The middle compartment is covered by a large dome, the passage of which is provided by triangles. The two chambers on the right and left are covered with small domes and the east and west chambers are covered with cross vaults. On the front side of the last congregation with three rows of hedgehog fringes with closed sides, brick pitchfork and beak motifs were embroidered. As in Orhan Mosque, there are circle courses on both sides. This mosque is unique because of its sadirvan minaret. The Sadirvan is a fountain usually located in the middle of the courtyard. The construction of this minaret was made separetely from the mosque. Under the pedestal and between the brick base, there is a sadirvan and the minaret is raising on them. That makes this minaret unique in ottoman architecture.
