In 1981, Prof. Dr. Two clergymen (Mufti Hacı Hafız Efendi and Vaiz Abdurrahman Kamil) are seen on the front of the statue, which was made by Tankut Öktem as a symbol of the national struggle on June 12-22. These two clergymen have contributed to the national struggle. Those on the other side are the statues of citizens who contributed to the national struggle. In a period when there was no ammunition and other equipment, whatever the ax digging shovels people used in their hands were tried to be made in the statue.
