After this controversial burial, SHP Diyarbakır Deputy Fuat Atalay gave a parliamentary question to the Turkish Grand National Assembly regarding which title and reason Hafize Özal was buried in this cemetery. SHP Denizli Deputy Adnan Keskin applied to the Council of State for the annulment of the Cabinet Decree. The case was rejected in terms of procedure. Eyüp Aşık from ANAP announced that Hafize Özal was a member of the Nakşibendi sect and therefore he was willing to be buried next to the sheikh Kotku, who was previously buried in that cemetery.nnWho is Mehmed Zahit Kotku?nMehmed Zahit Kotku of Bursalı, the sheikh of the Nakşibendi order, who died of CANCER, received the title of the first person buried in the tomb of the Ottoman Dynasty in 1980 with the decision of the Council of Ministers.nBorn in Bursa in 1897, Mehmed Zahit Kotku was drafted into the army when the First World War broke out while studying at the Bursa Art School.
