I booked Opera hotel from Priceline and they advertised it as 5*star hotel which is not correct.nThe standard rooms are underground floor on level -1, -2 and -3. No sun or lights and very dark and scary. Normally underground is the parking not rooms. Spend your money somewherenelse. The only good thing about this hotel is the location. There are plenty other good hotels around in the same area.

Very nice place nice people. The rooms are huge and we wanted 2 beds they got us 3 beds highly recommended if you wanna stay in Istanbul

We stayed in this hotel from October 13 to October 20, 2019. We booked it on Priceline as a 5-star hotel, but it barely met the standards of a 3-star one—more details below. Priceline eventually refunded us for 20% of the paid price—we paid for a 5-star hotel through Priceline Express Deals and ended up in an officially 4-star hotel. My review for the hotel was never published on Priceline website. I made 3 calls to make sure my experience is shared so that other travelers would not go through the same experience. We were partially refunded but the review never got published. One of the representatives told me over the phone that reviews are not guaranteed to get published.nnAs for the hotel, it is barely a 3-star hotel. The only good thing about it is the location (less than 10 minute walk to Taksim Square). The rest of our experience was not pleasant. They put two single beds together to make a queen bed for us; you can imagine how uncomfortable it was. The housekeeping was terrible. The first night we arrived, we had to wait for 24 hours for an iron because they didn't have enough of them! We had to call for clean coffee mugs every single day because the housekeeping would take away the used ones but would not replace them. The floor didn't seem to be vacuumed every day. The hand soap was not replaced for our entire stay. The internet speed was a joke. We had to use our cellular data the whole time. So unless the location is your only factor, I would not recommend this hotel.
