The Teacher Training School for Girls was opened in 1967. Then, in 1973, the Institute of Education affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, in 1983, continued to education activities as the Higher Education of Atatürk University. In 1994, it continued its activities as Erzincan Education Faculty of Atatürk University. At the beginning, she trained only class teachers, and after graduation, she graduated in history, mathematics, Turkish language and literature as well as classroom teachers. With the regulation made after 1998, some departments that train teachers in secondary education were closed or transformed. As of the academic year of 2019-2020, students were admitted to Science, Elementary Mathematics, English Language Teaching, Preschool Teaching, Guidance and Psychological Counseling, Classroom Teaching, Social Studies Teaching, Turkish Teaching programs with central placement exam scores. Students are accepted with special talent exam for sports programs.
