Büyük Mecidiye Mosque (Ortaköy Mosque)

Beautiful mosque inside, outside, and around. Whether it's venturing inside for moments of peace, admiring a gorgeous sunset by it, or strolling the many shops and food around it, we really really enjoy this Istanbul icon. In fact, we went twice during our stay to capture the full experience, once during the day in the rain, and once during sunset. Oh did I mention, it is also gorgeous at night. I would definitely say it is a must visit, but also beware of the large crowds of tourists when you visit during sunset or in the summer.

Amazing place, incredible architecture. Went to pray Friday prayers here and ended up purchasing lots of art works from outside the mosque. Lovely cafes and restaurants around the mosque with incredible views. Definitely worth it
