Red Basilica in Bergama it's absolutely must see place! Immense size of ancient Tample devoted to Egyptian Gods, especially Isıda and Serapis, probably was built by Adrian the Emperor' order. Unique for Asia Minor building's materials, the red brick probably pointed that the architect was from Europe. Absolutely magnific style and size of basilica really impressed all visitors around the world. You can walking around of Basilica ruins at least 1 hour. The enter price is 10 Turkish lira (2021 year) or for free if you have a Turkish Museum Card. As well you can buy the Museum Card here, in small ticket office. Also there is nice courtyard before entrance to Red Basilica, with small exhibition if pieces of founded columns during archeological works in Museum. As well according to historical sources it's a mysterious place called Temenos, which means a sacred space where people can feel the present if gods.Durind Byzantium period the Basilica was turned into St John Basilica. During conquered by Arabic army Basilica was destroyed, during Turkish period was a mosque. Don't miss this amazing opportunity to touch the history :)

Interesting but could benefit from more visualization of how the building looked originally. Entrance fee is a mere 10 TL, so make a quick stop if you have the time. If you visit please bring some food suitable for dogs! We saw a very emaciated dog and were sad we had nothing to feed him, so hopefully some other dog-lovers will read this.
