After War of Gallipoli, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk was assigned to lead the 2nd Corps. The scenery of the Tigris River is magnificent. I would highly recommend everyone to stop by the cafe at the top of the winding stairs.

It's probably great in summer or weekends, but a Tuesday night late December...I would find something more exciting, like eating your third ciğer kebab

A place where Gazi Mustafa Kemal stayed when he visited Diyarbakir. Thus the name Gazi Lodge. It has thus become one of the touristic areas of the city because its historical base. There is a nice tea brewer behind this building and his tea is worth trying. This location being on top of a hill, equally gives one a very nice view of the city lying below.
