My review will be just about museum part, not about hotel. Museum is amazing! It was so unexpectedly - meet ruins of ancient city Antioch just under the complicated modern metallic & glass construction! Also it's a example how to combine the museum exhibition area and hotel. You can enter in museum with a Turkish Museum cart. It's really impressed - all this ruins which showed part of ancient city lifestyle, awesome patterns of mosaics from ancient Greek and Roman period. Actually, in this exhibition you can see 5 different cultural levels, from Hellenic epok to Islamic period. As well, from different sources, it's the longest or the second-size mosaic in the world! You can walking around and see this breathtaking masterpiece made by geniuses from old civilization. Absolutely must see in Antakya!

Great place to visit when you are in Antakya. Whie they were building the hotel they discovered the mosaics who lead to more extensive excavation. You can purchase a one day ticket about ₺30 or you can purchase the ₺60 museum card good for one year to any museum in Turkey. Plan to spend at least and hour to see all the mosaics, street and the bath complex. Old Parmenion river run in the middle of the exhibit and you can see moisture as you walking towards the exit. Amazing small statue of Eros.

Definitely must go place. Full of amazing history. Pitty they built a hotel ontop of a very special historical site. They should have left it as it is.

My husband and I visited Antakya from Australia and are so glad we chose the Museum Hotel Antakya. It is like no other hotel in the world because you actually sleep above the ancient ruins and mosaics in a 5 Star stunning room. Absolutely every aspect of our stay was magical. My husband had a fabulous hamam in their beautiful spa which included a free sauna and a free steam room. We then had dinner in their restaurant overlooking the ancient ruins and mosaics lit up like another world. The food was delicious local Turkish cuisine and the service was impeccable. Breakfast was very generous and included once again, delicious local cuisine. I hope we can return to Antakya to stay st this hotel again. We had actually stayed the night before in the old town Antakya but stayed awake all night due to the bar and restaurant noise so we moved to the museum hotel. So glad we did. We had such a good quality night’s sleep after a magnificent evening interacting with the museum and the hotel’s 5 star facilities.

The museum below the hotel is closed on Mondays for outside visitors. You can still see it from outside but I wish it wasnt closed or there were more info online about operation hours and days.
